KWS SAAT SE & Co. KGaA is looking for a dedicated Lead of Production for Rapeseed 4.0 (m/f/d) to digitally advance our rapeseed department.
If you have a passion for process optimization of seed production and want to use your expertise in an international environment, then this is your opportunity. Your main task will be to lead the rapeseed production team and to lead the supply of rapeseed according to market requirements (quality and quantity) into the next era.
This exciting and varied full-time position at our headquarters in Einbeck (Lower Saxony/Germany) is permanent. Hybrid work is possible.
Your new challenge includes:
- Leading the production team in line with KWS values as well as fostering talent development
- You will revolutionize our existing production processes through the use of new digital and autonomous methods
- Creation of global production plans based on the required seed (certified seed, trial seed and basic seed) in collaboration with other countries and internal portfolio management
- Management of stocks with regard to strategic and commercial objectives (seed quality and quantity) and communication of sales and delivery capability in consultation with SBU Head
- Management of seed reproduction and processing partners
- Identification of new production areas, locations and partners, coordination of test production
- Close cooperation with KWS Research to develop new solutions for seed treatment
- Regular exchange with the production teams of other business units & production partners to identify synergies
Your profile:
- University degree in agriculture or a related subject with a focus on agriculture, e.g. agribusiness or business administration with an affinity for agriculture
- Experience in the production of hybrid seeds is an advantage
- Sound knowledge of plant cultivation and plant production
- You have experience in leading teams and interacting with various internal and external stakeholders
- Self-driven and innovative way of working, especially in the area of digitalization and innovation
- You are assertive, quick on the uptake and have a strong team spirit
- You are familiar with the relevant IT systems (MS Office, SAP)
- You have excellent communication skills with different target groups
- You are fluent in English (written and spoken), knowledge of another language (e.g. German, French) is an advantage
- Willingness for occasional national and international business trips (up to 25%) and a class B driver's license
